Avatar is a state of the art job scheduling product; which uses modern
day design methodologies. Many of the methodolies chosen allowed us to design
a highly configurable, sophisticated system that was easy to use and
cheap to manage. Other methodologies employed provided neccessary
facilities to abstract the data layer (via ODBC), secure the communications
between client and server (using SSL) and extend the capabilities of the
product using a framework design. Follow the links on the left hand side to
